Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our programs welcome students of all English levels, from beginners to advanced. We conduct an online assessment prior to the student’s first day and group students appropriately to ensure everyone is challenged and supported at their level.

  • For students travelling alone (unaccompanied minors): We partner with trusted homestay providers that offer safe, comfortable accommodation with 24/7 supervision. All student placements are in fully vetted homes that meet Australian standards for international student welfare. Accommodation includes daily meals, ongoing supervision, and convenient access to public transport.

If your family is travelling together (student and parent/guardian), you have the freedom to choose your own accommodation and are not required to use our homestay services. You can organise your stay from a variety of options in Sydney that suit your family's needs. We are happy to provide you with recommendations and local resources for finding suitable family-friendly accommodation.

  • Absolutely! While your child is immersed in their program during the week, parents are welcome to explore Sydney and Australia's incredible sights. Parents can also join our optional Saturday excursions to experience destinations like the Blue Mountains, Luna Park, and Bondi Beach alongside their child. We're happy to provide recommendations for parent activities and sample itineraries.

  • Student safety is our top priority at ECE.

As a CRICOS-accredited school, we take our responsibility for international student welfare seriously. Both of our campuses cater exclusively to students under 18, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

All staff members are trained in child safety, hold current Working With Children Checks, and maintain appropriate student-to-staff ratios for both classes and excursions.

Special care is taken for our younger students, where our Chatswood campus provides a smaller, close-knit environment where staff can provide extra attention and supervision throughout the day.

  • Our programs are designed to be flexible. If you're only interested in a specific week—perhaps exploring Australian wildlife or experiencing Sydney's iconic landmarks—you can enrol in just that week. Programs don't need to be consecutive, so you can choose the weeks that best match your interests and schedule.

  • A typical day includes morning English sessions, lunch, afternoon cultural activities or excursions, dinner, and evening activities. We maintain a structured yet flexible schedule that balances learning with fun and ensures students get adequate rest. Specific timetables are provided before the program starts.
